Turning a Movie Premiere Into a Live Twitch Moment
To celebrate A Minecraft Movie, we brought Jack Black and Quackity together on Twitch for a live experience that blurred the lines between gaming and entertainment. From jumping into Minecraft together to a surprise live music moment, we turned a traditional movie promotion into something spontaneous, interactive, and uniquely Twitch.
We teased the Jack Black and Quackity collab by resurfacing their old interview, where Quackity challenged Jack to play Minecraft turning a past moment into the setup for what came next.
And then…
we built an entire Minecraft set block by block, including larger-than-life statues of Jack Black and Quackity, to bring the collab to life in-game.
The stream brought it all together, with Jack Black and Quackity taking over Twitch for an unforgettable Minecraft moment that drove massive live engagement and turned the collab into a true cultural moment.
As an added bonus we turned the Twitch logo across our platform and social channels into a Creeper for the day, extending the collaboration beyond the stream and making the moment impossible to miss.
