BIO

In 2006, a very dedicated Jay Wee swam over 9,000 miles from Singapore to NYC because he heard great things about Parsons School of Design. After graduating in 2 years from an accelerated program, he decided this experience was well worth the swim.

After two long naps and one cappuccino, Jay wasted no time and signed on board at JWT's head office in NY for an internship. From the internship he moved right onto a full time creative position, as you may have noticed Jay is not a fan of wasting time. Jay spent the next few years working on several inspiring JWT clients such as Kleenex, Schick, UbyKotex, Band Aid, Zyrtec, HSBC, Trident, etc.

He was also the Art Director for the breakthrough UbyKotex campaign. The UbyKotex work was recognized by several advertising trades as well as The New York Times. Mr. Jay Wee faces all clients with the same passion and determination that he did when facing the Pacific Ocean, even tampons.

Jay then boarded the TBWA\Chiat\Day Pirate ship in 2011 as First Mate. He mends the cannons to ward off sea monsters and occasionally work on accounts like Jameson, Kahlua and Wheat Thins.

In 2014 Jay joined FIG because he enjoys working with advertising veteran Mark Figliulo and also because Mark looks great in a blazer. At FIG Jay worked on Sprint and then helped win several other clients like Macy's, Virgin Atlantic, AC Hotels, Marriott, Seabourn Cruise Line, Pete & Gerry's and many more.

In 2018 Jay took a leap of faith and switch from agency to brand side and have since worked at various big tech like Instagram, Facebook & Airbnb as a Creative Lead. Presently he is having a blast at Twitch working as a Creative Director making awesome work with the Marketing team.

In his spare time Jay enjoys biking, photography and eating burritos. In case you are not inspired by Mr. Wee's capabilities thus far, he is also certified as a paramedic, a certification he received while serving in the Singapore Army. Yes he could save your life, or do away with you, so be nice to him.
